European citizens must imperatively have a valid passport, whatever their age is. If not, entry on the Tunisian territory will be forbidden and the expulsion immediate. Children under 18 are not exempted from providing a valid travel ID with picture. Its Art Work The rug with classic tied dots is called the "Kairouan". It is recognizable by its large ends with ornate parallel bands and by its diamond-shape central pattern. When it is woven in non tainted natural wool, it is called "Alloucha ". You will also find many regional variant versions and modern rugs freely inspired by tradition. The chiselled copper is the main material used for oriental-style objects like trays, lamps, vases… Today, craftsmen make many painting frames using copper and by coloring them with enamel.
