Questions on Medical Tourism with Ypsee

Why would I trust Ypsee more than any other website?

The Ypsee Company is headquartered in France, thus subject to French and European laws. See About us. Ypsee is the only web portal to offer a real choice between multiple and carefully chosen destinations, clinics and surgeons (the latter can be contacted directly). This is not the case of the Tunisian and Moroccan websites that represent only their privileged partner hospital thus sometimes with a lack of objectivity.

Can I get medical advice on Ypsee.com?

It is possible to get medical advice only during your direct contacts with the surgeons and after we have received your medical data. All the surgery information of the website Ypsée.com are taken from scientific official literature and do not represent a medical advice.

Am I the one to choose the surgeon and the clinic where the surgery will take place?

Thanks to its Code of Ethics, Ypsee is committed to offering you a safe and independent support but in the end it’s you and only you who will choose your clinic and your surgeon.

Why Tunisia, Morocco and Hungary?

As far as plastic and ophthalmologic surgery is concerned, Tunisia and Morocco are strongly inspired by the French model, where Ypsee’s partner surgeons actually got their diplomas. The establishment and management of clinics are also inspired by the French model. Hungary is considered an international reference for high tech dental surgery. The quality/price ratio does not stand any comparison with any other Western European countries. But the financial gain cannot be considered as the only advantage of a surgery in Tunisia, Morocco or Hungary (See Why a plastic surgery abroad?)

How does Ypsee organize my plastic surgery abroad?

What are the different steps?

Ypsee conceived a complete step-by-step guide in which every aspect of your follow up before-during-after surgery has been planned and organized.
See Step- by-step guide.

Questions on administrative aspects

How do I subscribe to Ypsee services?

The first and necessary step is the creation of a secure online Ypsee account. Then two options are offered, the Ypsee Passport Service and the Morphing, those are to be paid online through Paypal but are independent from each other. Therefore you do not need to subscribe to Ypsee Passport Service to be able to get Morphing and vice versa, for more details, See Our Services.

How do I get the preliminary examination and how do I fill in the medical form?

Talk to your general practitioner because only he or she can prescribe the required medical tests. These will be thus covered by your health insurance and your mutual insurance.

How many pictures do I need to send?

-For the body: full-frontal photo, rear view, left and right profiles, and a three quarter view

-For the face: full-frontal photo, left and right profiles, and a three quarter view

-For a lifting: photo of the bare neck

-For a rhinoplasty: close-up full-frontal photo, head bent backwards

-For baldness: back and top of the head

-For a dental surgery: photo taken from the left, right, above (palate), under, full-frontal, and smile.

What happens if I decide to cancel the surgery or if the surgeon refuses to operate once at the clinic?

In both cases, you will have nothing to pay to the surgeon or to the clinic. No deposit is indeed required in the Ypsee system, the payment will have to be done after the preoperative consultation, that is to say the day prior to your surgery, but only if you and the surgeon both agreed to proceed with it.

Questions on the postoperative check-up

How is the postoperative care organized?

During your convalescence period, one or two postoperative consultations will be scheduled with your surgeon. A nurse will take care of the wound-dressing replacement and the medicine intake directly at your hotel. After you are back in your home country, the surgeon will keep in touch with you, if needed, by phone and will work together with your general practitioner to make sure everything is going on fine. After three months, a first check-up will be assured by the surgeon through Ypsee website in order to make sure the first results are satisfying. If this is not the case, he will inform you of the potential alterations that need to be done, or if it is better to wait.

Can my dental surgery fees in Hungary be covered by my personal social security?

Yes because Hungary is in the EU. At the end of your treatment a bill issued in French will be given to you. Once your are back in your home country, you can fill in your health insurance form for treatment received abroad, and enclose your bill in order to get refunded by your mutual insurance.
