We do know that the very quality of a surgeon cannot be judged only on these elements. Ypsée is the only website that allows you to be in direct contact with the surgeons via videoconference. If you wish, during your contacts, the surgeons will provide you with extra information on their training and education, membership to scientific societies, registration number to the National Council of Physicians Order, professional insurance contract…

Who is authorized to practise plastic surgery?

In France

Since January 2006, the practice of the plastic surgery specialty on any part of the body is reserved to the doctors who obtained the « Diploma of Specialized Studies in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery » (DESCPRE). This diploma requires a 5 year training during their internship and one more year after it, basically a total of 12 years of studies.

For your information: all the other surgeons can practise a surgery but only in their skills field (for example ENT surgeons for the face, gynecologists for the breasts, or ophthalmologists for the lids), but the operations cannot be for cosmetic or aesthetic purposes, except in case of emergency.


In Tunisia


The Tunisian surgeons selected by Ypsée are highly skilled. They studied in France, where they obtained their « Diploma of Specialized Studies in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery » (DESCPRE).

Moreover, they obtained the diploma from the? French College of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery ».

They are members of the prestigious « French Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery » (http://www.plasticiens.org/Faq.php), and attend several times a year the conferences organized by this society.

They are registered in the Order of the Tunisian Doctors (http://www.ordre-medecins.org.tn/annuaire.php) and have a minimum of 6 years of experience. They speak French, Arabic and English.

 

 

The Dental Surgeons

The dental surgeons, who work in partnership with Ypsée, all studied in Hungary, a country known worldwide for the education excellence of its dentists. The length of studies is similar to the studies length in France, and just like in France the implantology (implant set up) is subject to another college diploma (Master in Implantology). They have several years of experience. Besides English and German some of them speak a perfect French, the others will be assisted by an interpreter.

The ophtalmologists


The Tunisian ophthalmologists, who work in partnership with Ypsée, studied in France, where they accomplished a 5-year internship and wrote a thesis for their Ph.D in order to get the Diploma of ?Specialized Studies in Ophthalmology ». They practiced in France for several years. They speak French, Arabic and English. One of them trained several ophthalmologists in France where he is now considered an international reference in this field by his counterparts. He is also a professor at the Tunis Med School and president of the Medical council in relationship with American and European schools.
